Thief takes off with man’s iPad, finger
A US man was left with a severed finger after two thieves stole an iPad he had just purchased at the mall in Colorado.
Bill Jordan told KDVR he went to the Cherry Creek Mall’s Apple store last Thursday to buy the new product for his company to give as a business gift.
After Mr Jordan exited the store, one thief snatched the iPad out of his hands, then ran to meet up with his accomplice.
Because the bag’s cords were wrapped around Mr Jordan’s fingers, he couldn’t let go.
“I just remember this kid pulling and pulling and pulling and it…took the flesh right off, the tendons and everything,” Mr Jordan said.
“There was nothing but bone.”
Mr Jordan was rushed to the hospital, where a doctor recommended amputation of his left little finger.
Police are using a surveillance video to track the two thieves.
