Human Race sets 25th anniversary season and has Cincinnati actors in current Twelfth Night
A trio of Cincinnati actors are braving the winter drive to Dayton to provide onstage support in the Human Race production of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy “Twelfth Night,” with the tale of mistaken identity, misguided romance and miscreants plotting nefarious schemes will be set in 1920s America instead of ancient Illyria. (Listen for George Gershwin, Fats Waller — “if music be the food of love, play on.”)
Josh Stamoolis, longtime Cincinnati Shakespeare resident performer, is Sir Andrew Aguecheek; Sara Mackie, one of Ensemble’s Wonderettes and a Wright State alum, plays Olivia and Kevin Malarkey, a CCM Drama senior is Valentine.
“Twelfth Night” continues through Feb. 13. Find more information on www.CinStages.com and at www.humanracetheatre.org.
Human Race announces its 25th anniversary season and it includes a couple of big titles — “God of Carnage” and “Red.” Be amazed if there isn’t at least some overlap with Cincy pro theatres in 2011-2012.
